When I first brought it to him, John thought he could have it ready for The Relic Run. Then he saw the wheel wells... I bought some replacement skins from CCOT and I can't say enough good things about CCOT's excellent customer service. The panels are very nicely made, heavier than stock gauge, and a steal for $160. But Relic Run is only 3 weeks away and John hasn't really scratched the surface with the body work... He is currently distracted by a rather demanding return customer. I'm hopeful, but I may have to just drive the 100 up and take a space in someone's passenger seat.

@CharlestonG8R You cut the line with the body guy :flipoff2::flipoff2::flipoff2:

I kept calling him and calling him and he kept pushing me back...now I know why!

@CharlestonG8R, This shop spent $800 on this lift, brand new.

depending on the weight limits, that's a pretty good deal. Unless they installed it themselves, they probably had to pay an install fee also.

He had a premonition that you would be leaving soon and he didn't want you to have to leave your beloved 62 behind...

Alas, it was a right time right place thing. I stopped by often. He had just delivered a car and said "Fine, bring it today and I will work it." I take the blame!

He installed 2 of them himself, with one other guy. They work on everything, so I'm assuming the weight limit is for commercial use.

Any chance of a custom garage with a similar lift at your new place?

The 2 post lift I had installed at my shop is a 12K asymmetrical (if I recall) - heavy enough to handle my F350 and our F450s, but not enough to risk putting anything larger onto.

Based on a 3 car under garage layout.... We'd have to convince the :princess: that we didn't need a kitchen or laundry room... and y'all know I like to eat and wear clothes...

Now, when we remodel YOUR Garage-mahal, we can easily raise the roof to fit a lift.

I have a bent tie rod so I said forget it and have a heavy duty tie rod and drag link on the way from budbuilt and new tre's on the way from cruiser outfitters.

Who wants to make a road trip down to Savannah and help me install these? :hillbilly:

I was just there last week and could have helped. The beenies weren't ready until I left Savannah and I picked them up on the way back, that's why I had to ship them. If you get stuck, post some pics, but keep us posted.

What??!!! You sound like a dude that just got married last week. The sliders I'm getting from Rafeal, I'm telling my wife you gave them to me because they've been laying around your garage for 3 years. If I die, y'all need come to my estate sale because my wife will be selling a lot of guns and tools for pennies on the dollar because that's what she thinks I paid. After we finish Jeremy's intervention, you're next Erik.

Is it driveable? Can you make it to Mt Pleasant? I thought you were in Iraq!

@Trollhole finished the work on the 80, so it will be back in town this weekend. 4" lift installed, 35" Swampers installed (would have waited on these, but had a bad tire), and a Warn M12000 winch installed to add weight (offset the heavy springs).

No 6" ???

The rears were too stiff... I picked up 4" springs but since there were so many issues, I had to have Marshall install them. Long story, but this is the happy ending. :)

I like happy endings

Decided to give the 80 an oil change today and give the rotella 15w40 a try.

Popped the hood and my oil fill cap was gone! My oil was low a few days ago and I put a quart in and it looks like I forgot to replace the cap somehow.

Luckily one of my local dealers had one in stock.

On the plus side I'm loving the 15w40 so far. The motor seems quieter and my oil pressure gauge is reading better too. I'll have to wait and see if it fixes any leaks.
