Anyone heading to URE for the relic Run on Friday ?

Yep! @psbarger and I are heading up in our 80's. It's going to be a while before I see the 40 or the 45, but I don't want to miss the event simply because I don't have a relic to drive. @Yardboy , you want to head up, camp on Friday night, and ride a few trails on Saturday before coming home? @BBQ BOY ? @Eliot ? @collk22 , one last ride? @Soju ? @mmacpherson ?

I would like to go but even if I could get off work my 80 isn't even close to being ready for any wheeling yet.

Not to barge in, but doesn't that defeat the point of having a "Relic Run" just for "relics"?

Welcome to our world, Jeremy kinda makes his own rules. I'm kidding, I think he's paid for the RR but his 40 isn't ready because it's been Murphy's Law with his cruisers lately. I believe he is riding shotgun with someone with a relic, he's a team player.

Indeed, sir! We won't run the 80's with the Relics on the trails. David did open up the event to everyone, so I was just planning to come out and enjoy the event, but respect the purpose of the run. I had thought everyone was welcome to camp, just not join the run itself. @FJinTegaCay am I wrong?

My mistake sir

I hated to see that your relics aren't yet roadworthy. I'm glad that you are still planning to come this weekend. We'll limit the "official" trail rides to the relics, but I suspect we'll cross paths while we are out on the trails.

Awesome!!! Okay, hopefully we are all able to jump in the passenger seats with relics... If not, well, in the words of Benke: "I just wanna wheel!"

I want to come, Jeremy, and really looked at it hard, but with last weekend with the Scouts, and the Boil the weekend after, I have to have some time to work on my ( Scott's) rig.

Sounds like an impromptu HAMOM, let us know and we can help (yes, there are varying degrees of our help).

We talked about convoying, would you still be up for that?

@Soju , sorry to hear it... Next time!

Is @dbenke attending?

Uhhhh, yes. I was hoping that was still the plan ! I am going to be loaded up, so I don't have to 'hurry' to URE. Not sure how much time I should allot, considering my top speed and all.

And you're welcome to ride / drive / wheel with me and my old rust bucket

Okay, in fact, the plan was to head down Friday, camp, wheel, eat, and come home that night. Works for wives and we gotta keep em happy! Phil may punch out before dinner, he's undecided. I have to pick up the 80 in Greenville on Friday, come home and pack, then we can leave. That is unless someone wants to drive me out to Greenville to pick up the 80 on Thursday night? ;-)

Huh? Where are you heading DOWN to ? Greenville is north and west, URE is north of us?
Camp... and head home Friday?

Are you planning to drive to URE via Greenville? I'm out for that crazy road trip - You might still beat me there. I don't know.

Have you called Uber?

@ErikinSC
LOL! I'd text you, but I think Phil is following this conversation. Wife is driving me up to Greenville to pick up the 80 on Friday morning. I'm then driving it back to Summerville. Then heading to Uwharrie. What time were you planning to leave Summerville?

Were good ! now I understand. I figured I needed 4 hours to get to URE, in the Yota.

URE is only about an hour from greenville

no, g'ville SC...I drove my Jeep back to g'ville so Wild Bill could use my van and trailer and I know it wasn't over 1 1/2 hrs.
