I was already looking at lodging. I'm not local, and only know what Google tells me about the area, so ....

There's the Horseshoe reservoir on the southwest side of town, with a pretty good number of campsites and some cabins. They have showers. It looks like reservations open up 6 months out (so be ready to claim your spot this week!) Supposedly not super-quiet, and I'm not enthused about 4 consecutive nights of tent camping. Google says it is about 25 minutes from Ted's Place.

There's a KOA campground on the NW side of town, but I couldn't get their online reservation system to let me have anything that worked for my dates.

I'm always a big fan of Residence Inn (suites, free breakfast and free dinner, kitchen, pool, fitness) and there's one that's also about 25 minutes away from Ted's. It's in the part of town with chain restaurants, Home Depot, and Target, if that's what you're looking for.

I saw the earlier recommendation for the Elizabeth Hotel. Looks awesome, but too fancy for me and a bit on the $$$ side.

However, I went ahead and booked with an AirBNB. I found a cool little vintage camper located on a small farm on the NW side of town. Fairly cheap, private, and great reviews. There are some cool options on AirBnB, but I couldn't find anything interesting on VRBO . I have no affiliation, but this place ( a "tiny home") also looked potentially pretty good.

Not sure about now but when I grew up in CO in the 70s / early 80s, Horsetooth (I assume that is what you meant) was where we went to party. I imagine it has only gotten worse in that sense.

All dialed in. I went ahead and booked a spot at the KOA since I'm dragging my Airstream but am hoping to find some nice BLM spot I can back into when we get there. We really missed last year and am looking forward to coming back! Thanks again gents for putting this together.

I’d love a road trip in a Land Cruiser convoy, but timing is too tight so I’m going to ship it and take a 2.5hr non-stop Southwest flight.

I missed it too.

Scroll to the bottom section of the confirmation email you got after registering.
Reading/skimming is a problem for me visually, so I didn't look through and I missed it entirely.
