Just changed all LCA bushings & ball joints. Both No2 bushings installed with 1 spacer each (as it had upon removal). Original undamaged LCAs both sides. Both LCAs went in with no issues (not yet torqued). I would say it is a relaxed fit. Not snug, but full contact both ends of aft bushing. However, on the forward bushing, I noticed that I could see the bolt between the end of the bushing and the forward frame ear. The space is 1.5-2mm, narrower than a spacer. I wasn't paying close attention on disassembly, so I don't know if the space was there before the work.

I assumed torquing the bolts would close the gap, but I thought it best to ask if this is abnormal.

The way I understand it, the spacers are used to position the LCA fore and aft to in the mount points. Is that correct? If so, adding a spacer to the No.2 bushing would merely move the LCA forward , moving the space described above to the aft ear of the forward mount ...?

I'm inclined to just torque it an call it good, but wondered if anyone had an opinion on the matter ... ?

Appreciate any advice

If the bushings are OEM and reusing the oem control arms, then what you did is correct. I too did this sometime back and don't recall the gap a you stated.
