My wife asked my if I was going to get rid of the 80. I said, "If one has to go, it will not be the 80".

Only thing I wish was different was the split tailgate. Especially with the battery box being higher, they could've made it so the lower half of the tailgate would line up flat with that so you can lift and slide stuff in without an extra hump to go over.

Agreed. There is the lift window but that is definitely not equal to the split tailgate. Lack of storage is a big issue as well. The LC80 has better storage for driver access and that is a low bar. They missed a number of opportunities for small compartments. There is not even a good place to put a USB cable out of sight.

Sounds right in line with the spirit of the 80 series! haha. 3D printed cupholders, cable management, accessories, etc... Shoot, maybe someday someone will be crazy enough to modify the tailgate and mounting to split in half!

Even with the annoyances, I'm pretty sure a GX or 250 will be my next vehicle purchase, but I'm holding out a couple years hoping for more drivetrain options. Hope you enjoy your new ride! Post up plenty of picture here in the meantime please

and one more pic for approach angle.

I have a couple of FJ40 badges and love the way they looked on the 200 Heritage.
Trying to decide if I should go ahead and mount them with double sided tape.

There is only one small "Landcruiser" badge on the 250, I prefer something a little more bold for a legend.

They (OEM) are aluminum, not plastic BTW.

Yep, IMO the badging was botched on the 250. The space is there, hard to imagine this was the best design Toyota could come up with.

The "i FORCE MAX" badge stands out more... if / when I get a 250 that badge is getting removed!

I vote yes, and delete the 'IFORCEMAX" badge from the rear. Great color and awesome 80

You could add the Heritage badges. They come with adhesive and have a slight curve to them. Not sure how that would work on the 250. I thought about the same thing though.

Thanks for the feedback. The Heritage badges for the 200 are about $240 for a pair and the FJ40 badges are about $76 for a pair and they are solid aluminum. Not sure about the Heritage badges. The D pillar on the 250 is flat enough. I mounted them a little higher than the photo and they look great.

I hope the 0-100KM time is for the diesel versions?
