Why do they get all the good stuff. Diesel engine, manual transmission, barn doors, swing out tire carrier, rear air.
Truth be told, our American market Land Cruiser's even without all good stuff you and i listed above, still do a pretty respectable job of getting us where we want to go off road, even when in stock form.
 
You can get the vehicle dry but it will be expensive. Apart from pulling the carpets, you need to have all the doors open in a garage that is just big enough to accommodate that scenario, then run a dehumidifier, empty water often to keep it going on run a water vent to the outside. I will need to be run for about a week, the electric bill will be horrendous but it works.

Due to over zealous homogalado laws here mine is as standard as can be, and yet I do some pretty serious off roading, no complaints, but yes a diesel seriously rocks in the floods we get here.
