Hey Good day to all.
I have a 2010 GXR V6model land cruiser driven with Bridgestone Duller(285/65 R17) recently replaced with New Dunlop tyres AT20 with same spec/size. But the car looks short....i can feel the height difference while driving.... i don't know why/how this is happened???...... with Bridgestone the car looked TALLER and MASCULAR......
I heard that may be because of tread pattern........My question is both Bridgestone & Dunlop are 285/65 R17 same size but with Dunlop the car is 5 to 10cm down/lower!!!???...Anyone can help me in this regard.

You realize that for your truck actually sit 10 centimeters lower...your new tires would have to be **20cm shorter...?*

That's just not possible...unless you are driving on tires that are almost completely flat. :)

I see you are from UAE. Did you LC come with AHC (Active Height Control) which is in down position or broke during the tire change?

GXR will not have the AHC, But in all honestly I do not like the AT20 or AT21 tires. They tend not to last very long in our summer heat here. Best thing is to check the air pressure on the tire and not the door jam.

Some of the tires here are 60psi and the "side road" shops will normally only put 40-45psi in them.

Thanks Xkennx.....no AHC in GXR...........Finally i got the answer for the height by changing again new Bridgestone Dueler H/L 850 WITH same size of Dunlop....but Bridgestone tyre is 1" to 1.5" more than dunlop...

Finally,I checked the other LC200 fitted with 17" rim with same Dunlop Grandtrek AT20 side by side..I don't feel any height difference.....Finaly tried to keep both the tyres side by side...Bridge stone is little taller...but after fitting with the new Bridgestone tyres considerable difference....but paid additional $300 with the new Dunlop(week old) to get the new Bridgestone tires...still I am happy with that...bcos wearing for dunlop is very worst here in the hot desert climate....even most of the LC here driving without treads, you can find it in the streets....ofcourse this is good for deserts but chance are very high for puncture:doh:....Finally settle down from the sleepless nights...
My question also looks to be stupid for many people.....But still there is a minor difference with Tyre manufactures regardless to rim size caused by the side wall/Tread pattern....
Thanks to all for sharing your thoughts:thumbup:

It isnt a stupid question. That is what the forum is for. Welcome to Mud!

Also if you ever in the RAK area let me know and I can show you how we armor the TLC 7X series and the TLC 200. If you ever require OEM suspension parts let me know also. We basically sell them off at scrap prices to SHJ.
