Hi all! First post here and only been in the 4 wheel drive/offroad world for the last 6 months and with two other project cars (240z and 240sx) in my garage id rather take the daily driver 07 lx470 to a reputable shop for some scheduled maintenance (Timing Belt). Any recommendations? Did some digging and the only shop I found mentioned on here was Japanese Car Care.

Last year I took my GX470 into Sparkys Automotive to get my timing belt and water pump replaced. The price was reasonable, he didn't mind me using my own parts for the job. He's specialize in Japanese vehicles. I'll most likely go back when my Sequoia is due.

Is ToyoMasters still a recommended shop in ABQ? They did good work when I was still a Corralian.
I think they are still cranking.
They did good work on my 89 for AC service.

Also check with Dominic at Adaptive Vehicle Solutions.

And I’ve never stopped in, or heard anything, but someone who works/owns? Auto Tech on 4th and north of Griegos always has a 100 series parked out front during business hours.

I have had nothing but Good Service from ToyoMasters in ABQ. Chris is honest, and uses OEM Toyota and Lexus parts. He is busy , so book your work ASAP.
He did great work on my GX460 and 80 series , in the past.

Yeah, they are busy! I like Chris and his team but he can get a tad cranky about things. He did my rear main seal for me, and basically told me "never again"....lol. That was a very expensive fix, and probably could have found other places that were maybe more reasonable, but I knew I didn't have the time nor inclination to tackle it myself, and it was worth the price for piece of mind to have Chris' shop do it as I knew it would get done right! I will go back on anything major again too (assuming he'll do it...lol).
