Any one know of a good LC specialty repair shop up in Reno. Do most of my repairs myself but good to know just in case.

I have taken mine to Sunshine Automotive on Rock Blvd. for a couple things I couldn't tackle myself (alignment; removing the old rusted/corroded t-bars; a/c charge). They have always been honest and very capable.

What type of work do you need to have done?

LC shop

Mostly to look at the trans. Put a used trans in last summer very low miles and when I floor the gas pedal to get it to kick down a gear it does nothing unless I hit the ECT button the it works likes it should. it seems to be intermintent. Sometimes it works sometimes not, the transmission shop that installed it for me seems to think it is fine but admited afterwards they were not fimilair with the LC and usualy does it on the freeway when I need it to get up and go. Maybe I should start a new thread see if this is common.

On Glendale, past the Grand Sierra Resort, there is a shop that used to be called The Toy Auto, its called something else now but they do great work, for extremely cheap. Plus one of their mechanics is a lc specialist. Are you a BBCNNV member?

Purely a suggestion, have you checked to make sure that the kickdown cable length is up to spec?

I think I know where you are talking about I picked a friend up there once. No not a member BTW what does BBCNNV stand for. Thanks for the tip on the kickdown cable I will look more into it someone told me if they are not adjusted correctly you can burn up a trans in a hurry dont know if that is the case with the toyota.
