Has anyone done some window tinting on their LC and could provide any pictures???

I just made an appointment today to for a complete tint job at the end of this month.

I’m gonna get the Toyota Glass Break Sensor installed first at the dealership then will add the tint after that new security feature is installed. The glass break sensor is $160 with a $140 labor for $300 total by the dealership.

$399 for the complete car ceramic tint.

Gonna do 30% in the front then 20% the back passenger windows and trunk area. The LC comes with the factory 30% tint so adding 20% on that will make it 6% Limo tint where you won’t be able to look inside from outside.

Good thing we have the back up camera for reversing at night. Right now in the day time, you can still see through the tint in the back and I don’t like that.

Talking with the shop today; they suggested to do a windshield tint as well. $299 for a 40 or 50% window tint. I really like the look of it. Obliviously any tint is illegal on the windshield and on the windows depends on your state.

Here in Minnesota, it’s 50% in the front and can be anything in the back/rear. I’m sticking with 30% in the front and hope not to get into much trouble with the police. My Acura had 30% and I got pulled over twice for it so later I put 50% on my Sequoia and it’s damn see through.

Here is a photo of my Acura with 30 all around.

Then my Sequoia which is 50 in the front with factory 30 in the rear.

My Sequoia was broken into before but tinted windows help stop the windows from completely shattering.

This is the only video on YouTube with a tinted Land Cruiser.

He has 20% in the front then 5% everywhere else.

I really like that front windshield tint at 50%

Won’t need sunglasses during the day and still
Super visible at night.

A previous owner tinted mine, but I believe it's 5% over whatever's factory. It's definitely dark at night, in the mirrors you're looking at headlights but no lane markers. I like it this dark for my use, since I sleep in the back fairly often and it's nice to not have to add extra shades other than the windshield. If I'm backing up at night, I just roll the front windows down, I use the mirrors more than the backup camera.

I think 20% all around is more practical, and I plan on doing that to my new-ish daily driver, but there's something about going way dark that's satisfying.

I don't plan to tint the windshield on my LX, but I might on my other cars that are much, much, much lower. Maybe not even as dark as 50%, but just something to take the edge off other vehicles' headlights. On one of mine, a newer Outback will light up the entire interior from the back.

5% ceramic all around and 50% ceramic on the windshield. Nice and dark inside and much needed during the summer here in the desert. Windshield looks much darker than it actually is at this angle.

Man that windshield looks great!!

I just don’t know if I could pull it off here in MN with a black Lc and black interior is gonna make it look even darker lol.

Thanks for the share brother

30% ceramic on the front doors and a “clear” ceramic film on the windshield. Stock rear tint with form fitting sunshades installed that darken the windows a bit.

thinking of doing something like this. Darken front to blend in / match the rear stock, spurge on ceramic for it, and maybe a clearish ceramic windshield to keep the black leather seats from getting too hot.

Don't think I have picture but I tinted the drive and passenger the legal level allowed in Texas. I did 2nd row a shade darker than that. I did not do rear or 3rd row glass due to all wiring for defrost and radio.

Where in the BFE do yall live where you can tint the windshield 50%!?!

Not sure why wait for the glass break sensor.. normally it is a microphone.

50% is illegal everywhere but it’s the new craze. People love it especially down south where it y crazy hot.

I found a shop here locally that will do 70% ceramic for $249. I think I will do that. It has a bluish look to it which I like and doesn’t look dark at night.

Check out this video with 70, I like it.

I live in a city of 3mil people. It just isn’t enforced here often unless you really give them a reason to.

Side by side comparison. Asked my local shop to match the front doors to the rear doors. I’m quite please with the results.
