Looking for a latest gen phone mount/wireless charging solution. These tend to age out quickly so looking for latest/greatest reccos!

Seems like many of them mount near the push-start button/vent?

Thanks!

I use an Otterbox Case and Magsafe charger. You can get a Garmin sized ball adapter for Ram Mounts and use one of the Ram arms if you already have items in that ecosystem. The magnet is sufficient for holding the phone on trails unless you hit a real severe bump or there's contamination (dirt) on the interface.

I'm a believer on the QuadLock stuff--the cases barely add any size to the phone and there are endless mounting solutions that give you uniformity across anything. I have the motorcycle mount (because of the 1" ball) with a wireless charging head mounted on a Gamaviti panel on my dash via some RAM arms.

I installed this Ram Mount about 2 years ago and have been very happy. You're right about things changing so this is a very flexible system. I have since removed the 4 prong clamp and replaced it with the Ram Mount Apple Magnetic charger, which works like a charm. I don't like seeing cables, so I ran them behind the dash panels and plugged them into a double outlet in the stock cigarette lighter. The second one drops down out of the console panel next to the passenger seat so my passengers can plug anything they want into a USB.

Mounted mine with a suction cup close to the driver side A column and routed then a charging cable behind the dash.
Will add a picture later.

Have the proclip base and a wireless charger attached to it. Very happy with the setup as I just drop in the phone and it gets charged while I can easily see google maps or waze (good view angle) and operate spotify. The vent is partially cooling the phone while letting enough flow around for the driver (have the window side ofcourse as well to help out as required). Also like the proclip base does not attach to any moving parts of the vent which should be good for longevity.

Power cable to the wireless charger is routed/hidden behind the cover and plugged into the existing 12v outlet

This is made by Vicseed, Clamps on to the vent well and has a strong magnet. You need to add a supplied metal ring to the back of your phone. It’s discrete. I found it here on the forum.😬

3D printed a super low profile clip custom fit the the LX570 vents. That adapts this Lisen Magsafe magnetic charger mount. Love how flush and secure this thing is. Effortless to use. I can probably dig up the .STL if anyone is interested.

Hi TeCK, could you share the .STL? And how does the charger mount to the print, adhesive? Still working OK?

Sure, here you go. You'll want to cut the Lisen charger arm at the red line, with a dremel/angle grinder/hack saw/whatever you have. The stem then slides into the receiving hole with a snug fit.

It all works great and has spent hundreds of miles on the worst washboards and rock crawling. The 3D print should be printed in PETG to hold up to heat. It clips in positively in the vents. If the magnets holding the phone aren't strong enough, it's likely due to too bulky of a phone case. It works great and things are nice and tight without any vibration.

I wanted something that didn't clip onto vents, block the entire vent, or hang off the dash pad so I scanned and designed a fitted mount for the 08-15 LX if anybody is interested. Comes in charging, non charger, and quad lock variants, depending on budget. 3D printed in ASA and the bodyworked/painted to match the dash. Can be found via my etsy storefront.

Proclip base - above the start button, pair it with the quad lock wireless charging base and case. It’s the best.
