Later model top on 72'

I have a 72', will other year model tops fit my body? I know that later model tops fit amby doors which I believe are 1/2" wider. Can these be modified to fit my early tub. I am planning a ground up resto and am buying up all the pieces before I start the resto. I am looking for doors, seats, and a top if anyone knows of any. Thanks

I recently asked a similar question about my '72. Here's what I understand. The top will fit. You can unbolt the piece that goes between the sides in the rear and replace it with an earlier hatch type section. In order to use the ambulance doors, you'll need to cut and reinforce the tub to match the width of the doors. Later model driver and passenger doors will fit, but the striker needs to be modified. I'm waiting for pics on this mod.

Can you not shave a 1/4 inch off each door? The tub opening would be tough due to the wheel wells being the same opening as the tailgate. I would think you could lose the width on the doors and modify those with better results
