Hi,
We did a recent trip on the Mojave Trail and along the way came across some water. Part of the water hole was close to the top of the wheel wells.....yes snorkels do work! One of my companions in his Defender 110 had some problems and stalled in the water. Check out the link - http://gallery.network-agents.com/album42?page=5

I remember reading about some stickers that said Land Rover revovery vehicle. Anyone know the source for those?

BTW also winched out a Dodge pickup that was axle deep in the thickest mud I have encountered. Glad I upgraded to the Warn 12k winch.

cheers,
David...

Mine reads "Range Rover Recovery Vehicle". I got it long time ago from Christo - bought some stuff from him and got the stickers as a freebie :)

I've searched all over for that sticker and never found it! I know I’ve seen them on trucks and on a couple of sites but when I went looking to purchase one nothing. Although I've never had to rescue a Rover (yet) we almost had to pull an old Bronco out of the Anza Borrego Coyote Creek crossing this weekend but he got restarted on his own: http://www.echopark.net/echo29/anza04/pages/268_6860.htm

Is the site you’re pointing to working; I can’t get anything to come up.

When were you on the Mojave Road? We crossed over it several times a couple of weeks back while on our way from Goffs to Nipton. In the 15 years we’ve been heading to the desert, and the 10 to East Mojave, we’ve never seen it so green!
Some shots: http://www.echopark.net/echo29/nipton04/ Mostly friends and some wheeling.

I've got one in my back window. Go it from someone on the 80sCool list. Got two, actually and drove 60 miles to retrieve it from the Montero when I traded it in. They're both stuck to static cling vinyl so I can remove them for cleaning.

Just out of interest, how did he get stuck (ie bad bottom or water into the engine somehow)? From the pics, it looks like a big puddle. I've been with D110s, etc where water crossings were quite long with water above the wheels, so I'm surprised he got stuck.

Cheers, Hugh

Why can't we all get along ? :D :flipoff2: If I'm stuck, I don't care if an Isuzu Tracker comes to my rescue.

Cheers,

Ali

I wouldn't care either, and if a Tracker could pull out my 80, I'd happily rip the sticker off right then.. :D

I bought some sweet "Official Jeep Recovery Vehicle" stickers from some dude off I think the 80scool list, but doing some searches I can't find them. Yellow sticker, black text, the 'Jeep' font is exactly what Jeep's actually is...so looks really good. I can take a pic if anyone is interested.

Oh, and Ali...where's those Autocad files? :flipoff2:

Later..
