Land rover/FJ40

Hi all,

Just wanted to get some feedback on a possible project. I have a 2001 Land rover discovery series2 with the v8 and would like to remove the body and mount up an FJ40 body.

I love my FJ40's and wanted to get a more modern, user friendly daily driver and also safer to ride in for the kids.

There is only a 255mm differance in wheelbase so the body could be stretched behind the doors to suit as required.

Is there a better(cheaper, easier) way to achieve my goal as most parts for my FJ in Perth are very expensive and have to come from the US. The auto wrecker wanted $420 for a used brake booster last week!!!

I do not have the $ or skill to build an ICON style FJ but i think this project could be achievable.

But you don't need to spend big $$$ in a modern 40 setup like Icon one .. and that would be my target, undred times over the Rover frame/axles ..
