All,

I have recently met a number of guys with 40s in the Lancaster area that I had never met before. I would like to get a group together and am looking for other names/email addresses of local guys (within an hour driving lets say).

I have a list of 10 people at the moment - Lancaster/Hbg area. Some of you are probably already on my list.

Also looking for something interesting to do - if I can't think of a good place to meet I will invite everyone over to my house for burgers and dogs or something.

Would like to get together to socialize and to network for parts, find people who need a hand wrenching, etc.

Let me know if you are interested. Please also throw out ideas of places to meet up or things to do.

Open to Toyota 4wds - probably mostly Land Cruisers of the FJ40,FJ55, and FJ60 variety. You don't have to be an offroader - just a Toyota fan.

I also have a Craigslist ad running.

Thanks,
CAZ

As long as 80's are welcome I'm in.

From the email I sent out

What: Informal Lancaster Land Cruiser Meet
When: Sunday June 30 @ 3:30 - 6:00
Where: Andy Zook's house - near Strasburg, PA (17602)

Hello,

You are receiving this email because at some point I have met you and have your contact information. Some of you I have known for years, some of you I have recently met to look at trucks and/or parts, and some of you I have never met. I am always amazed how many Land Cruisers are out there - especially since it is so rare to see one on the road.

I would like to hold an informal local Land Cruiser "meet and greet" at my place on Sunday June 30. This event is open to anyone with a (older) Land Cruiser (FJ40, FJ45, FJ55, FJ60, FJ80).

The purpose of the meeting is to chat with other local Land Cruiser fans for parts, mechanical advice, wrenching, and for fun.

I will provide dinner (burgers and hot dogs), snacks and drinks. Please bring your truck if possible, and bring a chair as I have limited seating.

If you would like to attend, please reply to this email to let me know how many people you will have with you. Please also let me know what you will be driving. I will reply to you with additional information.

Please invite other local Cruiserheads - the more the better!

Please respond by Friday the 28th.

Next Sunday

Hoping to be there may not be driving a cruiser but interested to see who shows up and meet some new cruiser people.

By the way I tried to reserve a cabin at the campground for the coal mine event- nothing available that weekend. Gary S

So how did it go? I wanted to come but it was a bit of a haul for me.

It went very well! Turnout was good and I believe everyone enjoyed it.

Sorry we couldn't make it, we had just gotten back from the beach. Hopefully there will be more that we are able to make.

I would be open to have something similar up in the Harrisburg area at my place.

No, unfortunately I haven't been able to make it - I can't even remember that last time I wheeled with this crew or Land Cruisers.

Would love to make it out to one of these. Unfortunately I still have serious reservations taking my 40 the hour+ to Lancaster. You all should take your nice, functional 40's to Delaware!:D

Lots of good looking trucks. Excellent work all around!

I'm a noobie here and would love to join a local club! Just bought a mostly restored 60 in Memphis a few weeks ago!
