Kommando,

It's not fininshed yet, few have seen pics of the build, but here is a pretty current picture of it. I hope this turns out, first time to post a picture... The roll cage and front is not finished yet either.

Like the looks of this beast WL

Thanks Mustard, hopefully it won't be too much longer before it's on the trail.

Tucker, I'm just not finished, the wife and I sit a little lower to the ground than most folks, and besides, I'm getting to damn old to be climbing to high into one of these, and yes, the chains will prolly be put on. At least it's not like climbing into David G's....

Love the paint job. When ya looking to have it ready for a run? Hopefully when it's cooled off.

What? Yours looks just as tall.

So, are you going commando in Kommando at Katemcy?

Jeff,

The sooner I can get some one to help me wire this thing up :bang:, the sooner I can finsh up the rest to get it on the trail. The only parts I really need now are tires, the ones on it don't hold air and have pretty big cuts in them, and shocks, the correct lenght ones, the ones on it are just to get them off the floor so I don't trip on them and are too short. Hummmm, maybe the front ones are long enough for the rear....

Dave, mine doesn't seem as tall as yours, I think yours has lifted springs on it or something, maybe I'm wrrrrr... wrrrrr...(I'm never wrong, just mis-informed...)O.K dang it...WRONG!!!, but mine doesn't seem as tall as yours standing next to it...and yes, I'm going commando in Kommando at Katemcy next year:steer:.....if this thing doesn't fold up like a bunch of tinker toys on the first obstacle of the shake down run :whoops::censor:, which willl hopefully be sometime in September early October the way things are going :bounce:. I'll try to post a couple more pictures tonight.

Looking good

WL,

looking good. can't wait to see it out in the trail...

Sounds like you need to have a wrenchfest at your place! We can all come out and geet-r-done!!! :grinpimp:

Looks good WL. Did you tuck the power steering box behind the bib?

Yes, it is behind the bib. One full turn lock to lock. Gonna have to see how that's gonna work out..steering may be a little quick, we'll see. Astro van gear box with a scout pitman arm. All the geometry "seems" to be in alignment.

Thanks Joel and Luis, looking forward to getting this finished myself, spent toooooo many days in the barn and I'm sure the :princess:will be glad so we can do something else. I'm sure everyone knows how that is.....

I'll be on vacation from the 17th to the 24th, so anyone can come on out if they want to... I should be stuck in the barn, except maybe on the 20th, that's my birthday, may take that day off, but I'd kinda like to have it at least starting and running by then :bounce:

How about the 23rd? Where do you live and what is the earliest you'll be awake?

Luis- the cage and bumper....yes and no...the cage and front stinger /radiator protector is from metal tech, however, the bumper part is a piece of 2x4 1/4 in. with an old winch plate welded to it and home made mounts. Notching on the cage and stinger assembly will be required. I haven't figured out what I want to do with the back half of the cage yet, but do have an idea.

Unoman- Thanks dude

Yea, I think the back roads will be a nicer drive. I'll plan on being there at 9 then.
