I have one each 60050 and 61030. I have five (5) 61031. The heads have been disassembled and pressure tested at Cajun Cylinder Heads here in Lafayette to 60psi to make sure that there are no leaks into the water jacket prior to shipment. Note: they have not been magnafluxed, but there is a machine shop in town here (Northside Engine) that will "black light" the head (which they say is better than magnaflux). I think they charge $60 for black lighting. Head will be disassembled, but all valves, springs, keepers are included with the sale.

The photos you see are representative photos of the cylinder heads. Email me with questions or requests for additional photos.

Valves & seats will need to be grinded or replaced as needed. You will need to check for flatness of the mating surface. The freeze plugs should be replaced prior to installation on your vehicle. Can ship with UPS. The price you see includes shipping (to the lower 48 only, please). The crate will weight approximately 100 lbs and measure 31x12x8 inches.

Man, that’s a great deal.

OK, thank you for your purchases Gentlemen! Mudders have purchased three (3) of the 61031's and no complaints yet! I still have two (2) 61031 cylinder heads left. I have one (1) 60050 and one (1) 61030. $525 each as above. Includes shipping to lower 48! Mods, please keep this ad active. Thanks again!

Hey Joestewart, I'm interested if you have another 61031 left. let me know specifics when you have time. Thanks, Robbie

Hi Robbie, I have one (1) 61031 left. $525 including shipping. The head has been pressure tested to 60psi by a machine shop here in town that specialized in cylinder heads.

First let me tell you what happened with the last buyer (his handle is 91b1pp if you want a reference): He paid me for the head, and I crated it up and shipped it to him. He brought it to his machinist and found out it was warped out of spec and could not be milled without having to use a "spacer" which no one wants to do). I made it right by giving him a replacement cylinder head for free, but he had to eat the shipping cost on the replacement head (note: his shipping cost was $200).

So the take home lesson is, as my description states: It is the buyer's responsibility to check the head for flatness. As an alternative, I can have Victor at Cajun Cylinder Heads check it before I ship it, but he charges $100 for the service.

91b1pp ended up sending Victor all his new valves, springs, retainers, seats and he paid Victor $400 for the assembly service and that included the deck surface check and milling (actually I believe Victor uses a belt sander to surface his heads, which is a common practice for shops that do not have milling machines).

Nevertheless, the last 61031 that I have is sitting on the shelf at Cajun Cylinder heads. If you have any questions about it or if you want photos of it, call Victor at Cajun Cylinder Heads, 1603 Eraste Landry Road, Lafayette, Louisiana. Phone number 337-207-7709. Thanks for your inquiry.

By the way, I own three FJ40s: 1966, 1970 and 1981. My handle on ebay is ryanvu1 and I have 100% feedback with over 1200 transactions. I am a physician here in town.

Hey Joestewart, Thanks for getting back to me. I think I found a resolution to the cylinder head, but I'll keep you in mind for other parts. I'm sure I'll need them :)

Hey Joestewart, Any chance you still have this Cylinder head available? I may need it. Thanks in advance for the information.

Yes, I still have it. The machine shop (Cajun Cylinder Heads) can check the flatness of the deck, but they charge a fee for the service. Thanks

Thanks

Hi Mike, I have one 61031 left in the condition described. The one I have is sitting on the shelf at Cajun Cylinder heads here in Lafayette, LA. If you want them to check the surface before you purchase, you can call them directly. They are listed on the web - heck I just looked it up 337-207-7709. Note that they will charge you for the service of checking flatness. The machinist's name is Victor. He could probably take some photos of it and text them to you. The head has been pressure tested to 60psi, but has not been magnafluxed. I can get it blacklighted at another machine shop in town at your expense. The head is $525 which includes shipping. Note: Read description above: the head will need a full rebuild - you might be able to reuse some of the valves / seats but otherwise it will need guides and new valves / seats (as they are needed). Victor is capable of building the head for you (but again, he charges for his services and all that will be on top of the $525. Thanks and let me or Victor know if you are still interested. By the way, where do you live? = not sure if I can swing this shipping charge anymore - that quote was from 2023! You can send me a private message. Thanks

You might have been hijacked. I attempted to purchase a 61031 head but couldn't do PayPal and insisted on bank transfer only. The verbiage and syntax of the emails appeared to be ESL, English as second language.

Can you contact me through the private message system at the top of this page (the icon looks like an envelope)? Thanks
