Kumho Venture AT 825 - Opinions please

Need new tires for the truck. I had my mind set on Bridgestone AT Revo's but came across Kumho Venture AT 825 on tirerack.com with some very good reviews. Please share your opinion about these tires for paved and off-road use in dry, snow, rain, mud, and dry conditions. Thanks!

Obviously they will suck for trail use especially in anything wet and muddy. If you want an all-around tire, read the archives .... BFG AT/KO. :bounce:

I run the BFG AT/KO on my FJ60 and love them for all around use. They don't match the off road ability of a mud or swamper tire but on road they a very good in all conditions. They also wear very well.

BG -

I currently have a set of these Kumhos on my truck... the price was right [read: free] so I took them ;).

These are definately not rock crawling or mud tires, but that's not a concern for me. I found them acceptable last winter in our typical climate of heavy rain & light-moderate snow, and they get used quite often on easy to moderate trails where I frequent during my hiking and backpacking excursions, and seem to do well enough. And there is no road noise to speak of.

This is not a very aggressive tire but as they say, it depends upon how you intend to use them. I personally think they are fine for an all around tire in my locale, but when I upgrade to a larger tire I'll probably go with BFG AT/KO's or perhaps something else a little more aggressive.

Cheers, R -
