KS State GX470 (Rust?) (1 Viewer)

Hey guys,

Looking at picking up a 2004 GX470 that has great service record. However, my concern is when looking under the truck it appears to have fair amount of surface rust. Truck was in Kansas from new up until a few months ago. The truck overall is in great condition.

My question concern is with the surface rust. Is this something that is a big concern with a KS state truck? The paint and body are perfect and was serviced by lexus dealership up until 3 months ago before being shipped to CA.

I'm not sure about the rust- would have to see pictures although whatever you can readily see is what is most easily cleaned. However, the SoCal GX market is pretty good. Unless this is a screaming deal, I would keep looking for one without rust.

As I answered in your pm, mine has no actual rust to be concerned with, but as I stated it originally came from down south. A small amount of surface rust wouldn't make me nervous, but at the same time I never plan on keeping a Toyota/Lexus for another 20 years. ( unless it was a 40 )
