SILVER Star
Oh ya, the sliders. I was a test pilot for the sliders. They are very well made and PC'd them black. Sliders are getting scratches from loading gear in cargo box but that to be expected. I didn't ask TT for any options on the sliders. I like the new design I saw on mud. I'll post some pics when I find them or take new ones. Talk to Jason @ TT. He is a good man.Trail Tailor has some nice equipment on their website. I need to get some sliders. How do you like them? The factory running board does not go with the style, nor can they take a beating.
Jealous of your headlights. I'm wanting to get some of the newer headlights to swap out.
The pros of the Prinsu rack for my situation are that is supports a heavier load with easier stability. I'll never really put anything extremely heavy on top, but the idea of adding a collapsible roof top tent is a nice pipe dream that may never happen. I did strap down a mattress and box springs yesterday haha and it looked like a monstrosity. I also like the aesthetics of the Prinsu rack. It's much more aggressive and larger than the factory, but only sits about 1" taller from the roofline. Someone added 2 extra cross bars to the factory roof rack on theirs and it actually looked pretty cool.
The only issue I had was the vibration due to weather stripping needing to be added on the bottom of the front wind shield. Some people have commented that they think the rack is too big; I've simply told them their rack is just too small lol. Most people think it's badass and unique. Some mounting hardware is needed for the top rails (which they offer online; simply have not ordered it yet), because the Prinsu rack is so low profile that it is difficult to find tie down points.
Your system is going to be much more aerodynamic. The Prinsu rack mounts to 8 total points. I believe the factory one only mounted to 3 that I could see, unless the other 2 mounting plates were just hidden. I'll have to double check that.
