285/70/18

Wonder if they fit stock cruiser with no/minimal plastic mods. C rated?
I have a 2" lift and 275/70/18s require some minor massaging of the wheel well and mudflap plastic up front. Also using Bora wheel spacers to avoid the KDSS on the front left. The 285s would probably similarly work, but require even more massaging and a wider spacer or a re-lo kit for the KDSS (SLEE - Swaybar Relocate Kit for KDSS - '08 - '21 Land Cruiser - Slee Off Road - https://sleeoffroad.com/products/sok1297/) although I am not a fan of this solution.

I have a 13 LC200 stock suspension and wheels with 275/70 18 KO2 with no rubbing.

And the 285/70 18 is intriguing, but not sure I can wait until August.

04UZJ100 did not reference if he was looking for tires for his '04, '14' or one of the two '20s, but I inferred 2020 which is my use case. Certainly your experience with the '13 may be more applicable to his '14. My experience offered FWIW.

Too bad they will no longer offer stock sized KO (285/60/18). :(

And still all quiet from BFG here in Europe about the KO3 ;_;
and my size would be in the first batch with 285/70/17

Looks less aggressive than the KO2. Since the KM3 mud is pretty aggressive, wondering if this opens BFG up for an R/T (mix between AT and MT) new tire in the future..... With how long it took them to get the KO3 to market, I will not hold my breath. They did come out with a new HD Terrain tire for heavier trucks, so maybe there is hope for expansion.

KO3 should be a great tire for the less aggressive mostly street crew that have winter weather.

Interesting how Falken and BFG perceive their AT marked differently. AT4W perceives the AT market wants more aggressive and is being criticized for being heavy and less of a highway winter tire. BFG believes their market is more aligned with highway and is more street tuned.

I doubt it. BFG KO3 will outperform or match KO2 in everything. BFG is not dumb. They know their market. And they have $$$$$ behind them for R&D.

Falkens have always been a looker…..not sure if their bite matches the looks. Remember, AT3W used cheap steel plies instead of high tensile steel like other brands use (and thus explains their heavy weight)…no increased strength vs competition. Their sidewall was lackluster; definitely not even close to KO2 sidewall strength. To be fair, I cannot say if AT4W follows this cheap route.

Hello boys 🕺!

OK, I searched and can't find: Non one yet with KO3's?

Finally got the Icons, and it is tire time ! I have been back and forth and researched more with Nitto Ridge Grapplers, Falken Wildpeak A/T4W, and even the Michellins... but being a long time BFG's user, KO2 call me... and then now apparently TD do have the KO3's.

I might take the plunge and be the ginea pig then ! LOL.

For reference, going to be 285/70/17 as I am currently 285/65/18 and like to keep it simple with ~33's, even tough probably could squeeze the 34's w/o mayor effort.

Cheers,

That is a ~34in size and will require you work. Either spacers and less work or no spacers and more work.

285/65/18 BFG's KO2 work on stock wheel and suspension, I had it in my 2014 white.

275/70/18 also work on stock / stock, I had it in my 2018 again KO2.

Cheers,

285/70/18

My tire guy said he can get me the 275-70/18... they are now shipping around the country. I would like that 285-70/18 but not yet. This is the Mrs. Cruiser.

Alrighty , got 'em on her. So far two hours drive and they are really amazing. 👌🏿🔥. I will report back at +5k miles.

No spacers, very same reason I went with these wheels, I had spacers before with black power coated stock wheels ! I was just waiting for the KO2's to go down. LOL
KO3's 285/70/17
Dobisons IMS 2.5 -ish inches w/UCL's off course

Those look great!

Mine go on Friday.

I think when people post up, we should go ahead and jot down the specs, size, spacers, wheels/offset, lift etc. It is so helpful for others to "see" what combo looks like what.

Agreed !

Just some early feedback:

I gotta say, never had 17's any of my other three LC200's (yeah, I -cough, cough we-) are sick ! LOL. So much smoother! Either that change in smaller diameter, or the KO3's are really smoother, or a combo of both. I have read/heard that the KO3's seem to be smoother and more of a "road" tire than Terrain. Not that they are road tires, but that they moved a bit towards the more "road" balance of All Terrain tires, if that makes sense ! Anyways, I just thought I would share with you since y'all are KO's fanbois like me LOL ! :).

Cheers,
