I doubt that you need the seals, pix would be good. What is leaking, from where and how much? If the axle seal is bad, your going to have birf soup, it should be leaking out around the wipers. If it's just slightly leaking at the drive plate, it's likely just excessive grease from the splines/bushing/wheel bearing leaking because the cap is missing?

well it looks pretty soupy. its leaking where the cap should be. im just going to get all new seals just to be safe cuz i dont want to pull this thing apart for the second time and then realize that i need new seals for everything.
