Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe the Kaymar is rated for class III towing and the Slee is not.

The Slee has no towing class rating since it does not have a hitch integrated with it like the Kamar does. Of course it doesn't stick down as far either........:D

I called man-a-fre today and they stated that the rear frame needs to be cut, but never the less they don't sale it anymore. I wonder if it can it be acquired elsewhere.

:bounce: Now the good news, $2,800, EEK! :bounce:

The thing that has me back and forth is that I must have a way to tow the utility trailer that I made. I never carry more than one ton with it and most of the time it is only used for a few hundred pounds at most but whatever bumper I get must have a way to tow the trailer. I dont really like that the Kaymar hitch seems to hang lower than the bumper itself and I especially dont like that I cannot store my 33" spare under the truck for the city and highway driving I do. With the Slee bumper I was going to get ( and probably still will ) I was just going to get that tow hitch that bolts to the four holes of the crossmember but I know that it is not rated for towing. I figure it can take whatever I throw at it but I'd hate to find that I'm wrong! Any suggestions?

Hi I think I have a similar quandry I would like the same or in the short run to fit a reciever type hitch. these are not readily available in the UK, so I have to look at what is available to you in the US or OZ. I did not realise that the recievers projected into the space occupied by the Spare wheel, this would be a problem for me. I would like to be able to tow 3500 KG, and have seen one at Man-a-Fre which is rated I think at about 2500 KG. Is there a choice over in the US for recievers do they all project into the spare wheel space. Hope you do not mind me asking this question on your thread but it seems a similar sort of thing.

I don't know about the aftermarket bumpers, but my stock hitch touches the stock-sized spare tire. I was kinda surprised by that fact, but the tire does indeed rest snugly against the hitch.

My stock hitch (Toyota Port Item) allows me to carry the 33" spare with no problem. It is a true class three hitch so rated at 10K lbs IIRC. I really really really want a rear bumper with the hitch integrated AND one where I can still carry the spare under the truck 90% of the time and put it on a swing arm on the bumper for the 10% or so that I do go off road. The last several times that I went wheelin, I scraped the helloutof the hitch and the spare.

When i go wheel i just take the hitch off. 4 bolts and put the tire either inside or on the roof rack. But, my stock rear bumper is almost ripped off.
