Looks nice mate but will be sucking in plenty of hot engine bay air u should build a box for it . What sort of 4x4 terrain do u normally wheel in

That exhaust looks nice and shiny any more pics

it isn't only the water that will kill the engine --- it is the pea gravel that will tear out the cylinders...

I have installed K&N OEM replacement air filter (regular size not like this "SPORTY" one)

without changing anything, and works fine...

I run the STD filter in the summer and use the k&n in The winter ,the k&n fit in the factory spot

Maybe u could get one made up with a flange and four bolt holes ... So u can Bolt a turbo to it ;)

X2

take it out in a month of dusty road driving clean it and hold it up to the light, those pins holes you see all over the filter media let dust into your engine.

The best place for a K&N is in the garbage, right along side the V8 that was only used for one race!

any thoughts? K&N with snorkel/pre-cleaner?

I pulled the K&N air filter out, and am waiting to hear more on this, for now; motor is too new to mess it up in exchange for a few mpg's. I like the pre-cleaner/snorkel
and want to be sure motor will last as well.

I've been running a K&N and snorkle on two trucks.

Using the factory cleaner housing. - no issues. Does require cleaning more frequently than you'd expect.

Stat I picked up somewhere, for every 10 degrees C in your engine compartment, expect to loose 1 horse power.

You'll see minor increase in economy and performance with the K&N and snorkle.

my 2cents

first, you will NOT see any increase in fuel mileage (unless the old paper one was REAL dirty to begin with)
secondly, take that pretty little K&N filter and look at a light through it. see all that light? that will equal larger dirt particles getting though it. dirt = wear.

it is your money, your engine
and
i don't sell parts

so what do i care what you run?

<side note: i wonder if there is any parts places that like the idea of engine wear?>(sarcasm intended)

yea then you add the oil and loose that flow they advertise.

add to much oil and you mess mess up mass airflows.
