After years of lurking these forums I've finally purchased an LX470 and joined the forum. I was driving a 2001 LS430 for the last 4 months as a stand by until I found a really nice LX470 locally.

Its a 2002 LX470, 67,750 miles. Very well kept and quite a few records. Front accumulators were replaced in the last two years amongst some other front end work. No timing belt records so I went ahead and purchased and entire timing belt kit including Aisin water pump and other OE sourced components.

While it was taken care of pretty well I still have a ton of general maintenance I'd like to complete for piece of mind.

Welcome. Good to have you come out of the shadows! My favorite color, nice choice. Looks like fun times ahead.

I run the same tires - Yoko Geolandar A/T's and I love them. Nice rig!

super clean looking rig - congrats ! Those factory 18's are really perfect for the rig.

Welcome to Mud (although you've been lurking for a while it sounds).

Looks like a great vehicle and the mileage only makes it better!

Congrats! Love the OEM wheels on the '06-'07 LX - you really scored with that upgrade!

dang, the miles... Super nice truck.

Mind asking what you paid?

Owner originally listed on CL at around 20k. Dropped to 17,500 and I picked it up for $15,500. I couldn't find anything cleaner and everything around me is selling between 10-15k for 120k+ miles and no records. It seems low mileage 100's are listed at crazy high prices.

Here is a before and after of the front leather. This is the worst aspect of this LX but I'm considering either refinishing and dying the front seats myself or getting color glo to redye them. I used a product called Sofener on the leather and kept garbage bags on them so they would absorb the oil...this stuff is just like leatherique. They are much softer and cleaner now.

Welcome.... Please tell me more about the Sofener leather product. Tried a Google search and didn't find anything.

Great deal at 15.5k.

Love the NA miata too - seems like all us Landcruiser folk have good taste.....

Welcome.... Please tell me more about the Sofener leather product. Tried a Google search and didn't find anything.

If you search for ColorPlus you'll find the manufacture. They have a whole line of products but I've only used their "Sofener". It smells just like leatherique and I applied the same technique of using latex gloves and literally messaging the leather seats and then covering them up with large contractor bags. While they bake in the sun the leather absorbs the oils in turn lifting the dirt out of the leather. I followed through with a bucket of hot water with Lexol cleaner and a brush. Once dried with a clean towel you can do another coat of the Sofener and cover again...the leather really does get much softer many lines soften up as well.

Sorry if I hijack you thread but I was also interested in the leather treatment that you used. I recently purchased a 1998 100 and need to do the same for my seats. Anyways here is the website for anyone wanting to find the softner that you used.

Again sorry for hijacking just wanted to help out.
