Hey guys, been wheeling for a while... mainly rockcrawling jeep stuff.. but i just picked up a 1993 FJZ80 from username FFER on the for sale section... going to build it expedition style for some long hauls. Hopefully i'll get meet up with some of you guys.

Ill have to join TLCA and get my rig built fast. Just got off the phone with Steve @ manafre and will be getting my parts list together asap.

Hopefully see you guys on the trail soon..

Dave Druck

Welcome to the 80's side. Look forward to meeting you. Pics of the truck are necessary, both now and as you do your build up - in the 80's section.

Nice and very clean - a mall cruiser in it's first life? I'd loose the seat covers and dash mat! How many miles are on the odometer?

You'll have to let me know how you like the Husky front floor mats. My second set of OEM's (driver side only for obvious reasons) have just about had it. Saw the Husky diamond plate rubber front mats in the latest Performance Parts catalog and wondered what they were like. A little pricey at $62 for the pair up front, but I have a $15 incentive they sent with this issue.

nice, welcome and I hope you and your wallet are ready for a great ride.

my motto, "If you're going to be spending it, you better be using it." Even stock this rig can do a WHOLE HELLOFALOT.

see you on the trail!@

Dont worry ill use it.... here's my last SUV.. on wreckingball trail @ the hammers with a flash flood :D

Does bbq'ing count as cooking? If so, i can cook lol

You have any pics of your rig? I was under the impression there weren't too many of my paint scheme around.

Okay, if we're going to do this right bbq = slow smoke, grilling = charcoal or propane cooking. :D j/k.
If you do bring slow smoked meat, can I park my truck next to yours?

Im already thinking of what I can cook that might be palatable to share at SnT with you guys this year. Maybe if I can get everybody to drink heartily before tasting what I burned (I mean cooked) it might taste delicious.

Welcome. Now that is a blast from the past. The windshield sticker I mean. I used to manage the Off Road General Store. Haven't seen one of those stickers in awhile. I was always a little out of place being the only Toyota guy. Good to have you look forward to wheeling with you.

When Mark owned it? or Ron?

Mark was a good friend of mine. He did some work on my rig. ORGS was a good shop.

Ron was a nut lol.. but a good guy nonetheless.

You aren't big red are you?

Thank goodness I am not big red. He defected and bought a Cherokee after his red 4runner got stolen. He was the only one on my side to fire back insults to the Jeep bretheren. I was with Mark and Ron came in as I transitioned out to do my job before he bought part of the shop. Bummer it is not around, it was nice to have a local shop where people really knew their stuff. Ron is a bit of a nut but I agree he is a good guy. Mark is out in Texas now in case you didn't know. If you had anywork done from August 98 to December 99 I probably worked on your Jeep. Go by Mo but some people there called me Mark (real name). I had a Blue 86 Runner with SAS and all the other good stuff.

Ive met you then. Did you have a bald head? Dang its been a long time. Yeah i know Mark's in TX. Anytime i had my rig worked on, i was there helping or standing next to it.

maybe this pics reminds you of the rig?

We were fooling around with Ron's Team Purple tires/wheels..

99? that was a while ago tho.. i was working on my rig down there in 2002-2003

I do have a shaved head. I probably met you since I used to drop in to say hi. Small world.

The lift in that corner of the shop was put in after I left.

I will post some pix of mine.. but basicly the same with a dark blue metalic bottom....
