Just flew out to OH to pick up my LX, Undercarriage has a little more rust than advertised

Here's my ideal truck that I can't seem to find to save my life.

LX470 (LC works but not as preferable)
2004+
Less than or just over 100k miles
<$30k
No Accidents
No white or Beige exterior
Prefer Tan interior (but grey can work)
Excellent Maintenance History
No Rust

My last five requirements are where I start to run into trouble. Whenever I find a car it seems to be missing at least one of those req's.

I'm contemplating putting up some reward money for anyone that send's me a truck that fits all of my requirements...After getting burned so hard yesterday shopping isn't nearly as fun

I would think you could find several clean examples near you. Here's a couple although the second one seems too low $$ so likely has accident history:

;And i wanted black with grey interior until i found a nice silver with grey. Always had a black car, but the silver has grown on me. Plus the beauty marks wont show as much with the tight florida trails.

Just got these pictures guys what do you think. Car was located in NJ previously but has since been moved down south. Doesn't look perfect but still looks miles better than before. Miles are very low, color combo is perfect, and maintenace looks good. Let me know if you woud put a deposit on this, pending a PrePurchase Inspection obviously.

Thanks

dang it. i mixed up pictures. this was from a gorgeous low mile 06 LC on ebay but it has a broken steering rack and possibly a bent frame. definitely a pass.

Wise choice, don't get one of these things in your claw so tight that you lose focus. So folks wait and search for a while (some longer than others) but almost all end up saying they are glad they did. OR -- hang out in TX, AZ or SoCA and make the trip.

Always buy a round trip ticket. Been there, done that. The round trip ticket might cost a little more but it makes it a lot easier to walk a way from a bad deal.

Buy one down south, Texas truck is very clean with not a bit of rust. Take your time and find the right one, glad you walked away form that one.

Cap80; your rig looks great with the Rock Warrior rims!

That one in my hometown looks like it is gonna take some serious money to sort out. At minimum, it appears the AHC is inoperable. As I am seriously thinking of getting a 200 Series, I might be listing mine (again, but less half heartedly)

It is fully dealer serviced (just had a Mobil 1 oil change and brakes done) and has never lived North of Virginia. I think it has around 110,000 miles and just put on a set of BFG AT K02's.

Thats tough. I went through that exact same situation recently. I just sucked it up and kept looking and finally found one that I really liked.

One will come along! Just keep your nose to the ground

Now the one in the last pics you posted looks great! Probably wont find one that looks much better than that.

The OEM muffler is always going to be the first part to show rust. That just comes with the territory of an aluminum exhaust
