Should we start a group chat or just a discussion here about who will be bringing what? IE it seems I might need extra gas for my 80 but I don't have a way of carrying that outside of the cabin, but would certainly be willing to carry something for someone or pay for some extra gas for the both of us, etc, if someone has space for a couple of jerry cans.

I have done this trip every year and have not needed extra gas. Of course i am leading now and it will be a lot of turn around. 😂

I’ll have five gallons in tow but don’t have room for extra unless I store my water inside. Just fuel up prior to hitting the trail. We will follow the ol’ Bush era “no child left behind”. No one will be stranded without fuel….at least I hope not.

That's why God invented Hot Springs NC. Perfect spot for a pit stop and even a few good places to eat. Pretty cool hardware store too.

Yeah. To be honest. If you gas up at hot springs you will be fine.
I had two 5 gallon cans of fuel so I decided not to fuel up or I forgot.
Either way I did have to use one of the cans and another 80 used the other can.

Well. We are 10 days out. We better start planning and get a solid head count. I will be me and two kids. I will be driving either the 80 or the 200. Haven’t decided yet.

Lets start with food. I can bring mexican for Saturday night. We just need to get fixings. Basically i will get a couple of lbs of tortillas, chicken, carnitas and whatever available. Any one volunteer for hotdogs and burgers

I dont want to cut crap and take as much raw food. But we probaly need a ton of fire wood.

LOL Chocolate and Vanilla my friend.
I don't even have our truck back together

Trying to plan a route. We always hit weaver bend, wolf creek falls and the fire tower. Of course run the hurricane creek either way in or out. It will be nice if we can spend some time in a place and enjoy the river. We can talk doing lunch on Friday but want to put it out there if anyone has suggestions. I personally like weaver bend more than wolf creek. And we can fit more trucks. We can do hurricane creek in the beginning or on Sunday coming out.

I have never wheeled in this area so I will follow your lead. I like the idea of spending time at the river.
Looking forward to it.
