Many of you have expressed interest in having Jim Chenoweth (carb rebuilder extrordinaire, F/2F wizzard and LC guru) work on your rigs but have not been able to get to him out in Ohio... well now's your chance!
As in year's past Jim will be presenting his always popular engine tune-up seminar during CMCC, but this time there's more: Jim has generously offered to be available to work on your vehicles. Given advance reservations Jim will be at the Echo Valley campground on Wednesday, July 11th and Thursday the 12th and ready to work. He is offering 2 basic services (The TITLES are my doing - don't blame
Jim):

THE FULL MONTE
About 4 hours (@ $50/hr plus $60 parts) A full tuneup that includes:
general underhood inspection of vac hoses, gaskets, etc.
test distributor vac and cent advance
install new spark plugs & compression test (no point in proceeding further if the test shows a burned valve).
set timing
valve adjustment
adjust throttle linkage
Install new OEM air & fuel filter
adjust carb idle, choke speed and idle mix

THE LITTLE TEASE
1-2 hours (@ $50/hr)
Adjust carb, throttle linkage and timing. Then provide a punch list of missing/bad parts that you can later replace on your own.

So... If you are interested you need to let me know (email me at mailto:markw@gclcny.com). Jim will only bring his doctor's bag if he has advance reservations.

Don't miss this chance to get your rig running it's best.

That is extremely cool, but kind of a "busman's holiday" for Jim.

Have fun, everyone should take advantage of this! The valve adjustment alone would be worth it. That job is a pain, and I wouldn't do it for $50 per hour.
