Hello all, unfortunately, I will not be able to make the meeting

. I will be in California on business. But here is my .02 worth.
Lately interest and attendance in the club has diminished. Part of this is just due to the time of year with the holidays, weather, employment, working on rigs, and other factors. It is normal for participation to be lower in the winter months. Last month phone calls were made to members to remind them of the meeting. I had other plans, but changed them to attend.
Even though I cannot attend this month, I urge all club members that can to do so. This club is still in the growing phase, and support is needed.
Interest, attendance, and recruitment, and options were discussed last month. One idea was to consider proactively recruiting FJ Cruiser purchasers through Toyota dealerships. FJ buyers get their rig and say it will not go off road. Then they come back later with a muddy FJ and talking about how much fun they had. These newbies are ripe for avenues to use their rigs. The club can provide opportunities for that. This is a good idea, but should be only one of many to maintain an active club.
I know we have enough Toyota 4X4 owners in the area that are interested in some organized activities, parts, repairs, networking, etc., we need some participation and support for this club.
Once again, just my .02 worth.
