Not a silly question but no. I will be providing fresh roasted coffee for all from my parents shop. No worries

Omg! That is super awesome!

I'm in a predicament. I have some good news and some bad. Good news: I have thursday-sunday off (had vacation I had to use before Feb.). Bad news: life has been so crazy that I haven't had one second to prepare for this. I have ordered a set of shocks from franky, but it won't be here by this weekend. If anyone has a shock for a lifted 80 and wouldn't mind letting me borrow it for a week or so it would save me. I also havwbt found a reputable driveshaft shop so my D.C. Driveshaft is not put together yet. Not sure if I can run the stock one with a 3.5 lift on road for a month or so. I also do not have extended brake lines yet but I can bend some metal line and unbolt the hose. I have that taken care of. Hmm. I think that's it. I can't freakin wait to wrench. Tank will be happy to get away as well.

So any input letting be know about a shock, or if you guys know about a stock ds in a lifted 80. Please let me know. Can't wait to lift this thing!!

Bring dookus pukus. He'll have a ton o fun.

Aiight, I'll bring him. I'll be there Saturday through Sunday. Anything else ( other than tequila ) that I should bring? Food, tools, beers, etc. All the regular tools will be in Moonshine. Larger stuff will be left at home unless requested. I've got a floor jack, jack stands, grinder, drill, drill bits, engine hoist ( these HAMOMs tend to be pretty ambitious :D ).

Driveshaft shop I used for mine was Fleetpride in Garner, NC. Guy who runs the driveshaft shop, Rufus, is awesome. I'd try to find a Fleetpride near you.

Couldn't you just run without shocks for a couple of days till the new ones get here?

I told you, you could have these 2 front shocks on this one i have at the house here. They were for a 2.5 inch lift but will work for you for the time being.

And i would not get the driveshaft built till you knew the final lengths. But that is up to you. I use a good shop down here that Johnny knows about also. Did his 4bt head.

Motor Parts & Machine in Fayetteville. They did a fantastic job on the head for my 4BT. Didn't realize they did driveshafts as well!

Someone bring an extra floor jack. I think we'll need all the jack stands we can get too. Worklights and extra extension cords are usefull. Bring whatever hand tools you can. If someone can bring an air hose thatd be good also. As for welding I've been making good progress so i feel comfortable welding on other peoples rigs. Also bring any leftover Christmas trees if you can. Food and beer will be discussed by those having work performed on their trucks. I would still recommend furnishing some of your own beverages though.

Multiple jack stands. And a 3 ton floor jack - check. How do u guts feel about red stripe?

My gut does not discriminate. As long as it is above 3% ABV, it'll be happy.

Ill have my vodka and my red bull... Just don't let me place the jack stands after I've had like 3 drinks..

Its a German beer that is 28% by volume. Tastes like ass, but it would get you pretty darn blitzed. Used to get the FNG's incountry to say they could drink us under the table even this beer. Nope.

So, anyone coming from the Raleigh area ?

And if so can you / will you have room for a rear fj60 bottom seat to take back up that way for me to be picked up by someone up there ?

Thanks

Yes and no problem.
