J77 Trekboxx system feeler.

Curious to know if how many, if any, 77 owners would be interested in pursuing a TrekboxX System for the 77.

I do have the ability to drop my 77 off for work up, but before I talk to David about it I’d like to see if any other owners are interested. Point blank I cannot afford to do it alone.

What kind of deal is he offering if more people purchase a 77 set up?

If it works in a 77 it will work in a 4-door Prado, a 76 and what else?

Not really much of a deal. Maybe 10%, and that is a big maybe. The short version is; David would need to do all the R/D to get the drawers built for this application; from a business aspect would need 10 orders. that said, I don’t want to speak for @TrekboxX


Unlike every other builder, David doesn’t use “universal” parts so everything must be generated from new. That said, short of a complete custom build by a master joiner I don’t believe there is better system.

This youtube video is a pretty good comparison of how Trekboxx is superior (in my opinion) to ARB. Not a 70 series installation but you get an idea.

Hey guys, this is basically right. I'd need to sell at least 10 of any new system to just break even on R&D. Not to mention laser cut parts- cages, fridge slide, etc. are ordered in quantity of at least 10 systems at a time to make it remotely cost effective. Given we are a high-quality low-volume type of business, I can't front the money and hope it pays off over the coming years on the more rare platforms.

Having said all of that, I'd love to do a 77 system for you guys!
