Hi all,

I want to put extra pair of Osram high beam/daylight combo.

I’ve been informed by Toyota Service that I need to buy an extra canbus module to have them connected to the serial high beams. Is that really the case? I thought that having just the relay control cable connected to the high beam switch, while the power is taken directly from battery should suffice.

Any suggestions?

The Osrams in question are the

I only have access to US market wiring diagrams but in those it appears the High beams are controlled by a simple relay just like any other headlight.

Are you trying to make a second set of lights turn on with the high beams? If so just use a fuse tap on the high beam fuse to trigger the relay for the second set of lights. When you turn your high beams on the fuse tap will energize the relay and turn on the second set of lights. No complicated parts needed, just the fuse tap.
