Hello!

Im new here! I just wanted to post to say hello and show everyone what I just picked up this past week.
Background: I have a 2018 LX570 with only 40k miles that I let my older parents drive when they need. I also have a 2002 4Runner because in 2017 I was like all "Im going to offload and be cool and look cool". Well that didn't happen but I still have the 4Runner with almost 300k miles. Still runs well.

Last week I was bored and saw a 1999 LX470 for sale for $8k and was headed to pick it up but it was a Sunday. Not knowing too much of the 100 series other than what's common knowledge. I went down a rabbit hole of info and researched and realized I wanted a 06-07 with the VVTI. I was just casually looking online and saw a listing for a 06 with 126k miles.

It was traded in on a Saturday and I was signing the papers for it Monday.
It was a lot more than I was planning to pay but there were multiple people in line to buy. Which made me want it more and I have a good relationship with my dealer so I got dibs.
So far I have no idea what my plans are for it. Ideally i'd like to keep low mileage and dont need an off-roader since I have the 4Runner and a F-150 Raptor. Right now my daily is an X5 so I have no idea what to do with this thing.

so I have no idea what to do with this thing
Very nice copy. In that I have one identical other than the more odometer experience, I have a great idea of what "to do"......Sell all of the other rolling peasants and drive the LX beast every where you go. Two things happen, you will highly enjoy such a practical life living vehicle with no regret and the oxidation and dry seals that occur from not driving, you will regret.

Keep it stock or start a build based on your needs and wants, either way you have a GREAT platform. Click my sig and you’ll see mine was yours when it was stock and now my build is still “in the works” not in a rush I cherry pick stuff I put in mine.

For now I'm leaning towards keeping it stock. I'll run the 4Runner hard first before even messing with this beast. Your build looks awesome!

I thought of it but part of me cannot let go of the X5, 0-60 in 4 seconds. (Actually the X5 already has a replacement next year, a J250)
Cant let go of the 4Runner because I mean, it's a tank in itself. Def not letting go of my LX570. Maybe the Ford I can get rid of but I use it to haul for work.
Yeah, I realize I have a problem lol.

Congratulations! That is a rare find. If it were in Arkansas, the price would be $25,000.

I bet it was close….

Op, care to disclose?

My 06 cost 13 with 233 in ‘20/21. Not one spec of rust…

Speakers are in plastic box enclosures to keep the speakers dry if the doors take on water.

That's a great looking vehicle , keep it stock and enjoy it...I can't help but be sorta depressed at how I paid the same for a rig with 250k miles...don't lie , you meant to type $18,000* wait are you saying you saw a 99 for 8k but then found this 06??

Oh no I meant the 99 was for 8k and in a rough shape but upon looking around more I found this 06. It was 25,000.

Thanks for sharing. We all keep track and this helps us to live in reality. Much appreciated.
