Looks awesome Jrob. Can't wait till we load em' up!

Does look great Jrob!

Looks great and going to get a great place to test them at K2......

Chris get your boys to static balance those after he slings the weights off at K2.

Anyone that has been following the Saga should know that Jrobs truck really works well. He tested its limits at K2 for sure. Passed with flying colors. The thing is stupid slow when it's in low, low and 1st gear. Tires worked great as well.

finally got to see the rig in person. had'nt seen it since the scc in late 2010 and what a difference. not only did the cruisers' attitude change a ton, but so did Jrob's as the hours and days went by.

be honest Jrob, how much fun is it to wheel it now compared to 6 months ago?

night and day, right?!:grinpimp:

good to see all you guys again, we'll do it again in 6 months at the latest!

georg

We will see ya soon !!

Sent ya a pm about some pics.

Bodean is going to need a thread when we make him almost as slow as Jrob.

The toybox, wheelbase stretch, and tires did great. Just a few minor adjustments and Jrob is ready for Moab (or anything else). Needs some steel caster shims, I would drill out the springs for 3/8" spring pins, suggest a new power steering pump, lower front bump stops or raise front fenders, and a little tune up action. Not a bad list really considering all the changes. When are we gonna get this done Jrob?

Jrob,

Your rig looks great in person. Ran very well and super low gearing. Some tweaks and seat time, you'll be unstoppable. Looking forward to wheeling with you again in October.

Not really. The gearsets are something like $1500. Then you have to have both halves of the case machined for the gears to fit. Then you end up with two ratios: 1-1 and 4-1. His set up has 1-1, 2-1, 4.7-1, 9.4-1. I like the toybox better for the small extra cost. I also am concerned about weakening the case by machining out material (depending on how much has to be removed).

No doubt it the Toybox is better, but even with the extra machine cost I would bet it is more than 50% less than the Toybox plus the mods associated with it.

Had he not been willing to cut the rear end up, this would have been the way to go.

yup! if bodean was going any slower than Jrob then he'd be going backwards! :steer:

This is like watching iron chef... I'm pretty sure I'd eat what both of ya'll are serving!

Yeah I need to slow my roll for sure. Gotta get Georg some parts so he can get started.

Awesome.

I certainly see that at a way to preserve the purty truck versus taking it to "next level". I know you will love it.

Tell your wife that it is a safety feature. She'll insist that you buy it.
