JRob getting it done. Shortening tranny output shaft.

Smoothing out the edges. Cutting wheel on a 4.5 inch grinder worked best for shortening tranny Output shaft. It laughed at the portaband.

Blue tape is to keep metal shrapnel out of bearings.

How did the split case dry fit go? Three thick and two thin spacers?

I think we are at 2 thick and 2 thin. We may go back and try everything again before we put it together for good. We are going to document everything step by step with pictures. We had to grind the case where it hits the shift rail on the toybox. Had to call rocky to make sure that was correct. The case is VERY thin at that point where I had to grind.

I believe it ended up 3 thick 2 thin. When we tear it back down we will make sure. Putting the split case back together wasn't too bad. If we had the seals and gaskets it would be back in the rig.

Jrob time to update your sig. That new f250 tow rig needs some love :grinpimp:
