Hat's off to Slee! :) Slee again has done it! He's taken his super design from his 80 and 60 bumpers and made it fit the 100/LX. I think he went for a perfect combo of aggressiveness and styling on his new bumper.

The bumper went on without any trouble. Same for the tire carrier. Paint matching turned out to be a great success onto the lightly sanded powdercoat. (We left the bottom of the bumper the black powdercoat.) The HiLift paint matched well too. I'm very pleased with the bumper. Glad you perfected this before you released it Christo! We also cut the tail pipe a couple inches to lessen the chance of hitting it.

As for suspension? Christo had the hydro shocks in the Lexus, so it was guess as to which springs are best for the 100. I had 100 springs in there with 20mm spacers. The 863 springs from the 80 ended up being perfect and without needing any spacers. The 863 allows for:

The same lift height as before (3-inches)
More controlled ride on and off the dirt
The springs are stiffer and the ride is even improved from before which amazed me!

Couldn't be happier. This is a killer product. I'm also really glad I paint matched the Slee bumper as I did the ARB front bumper.

(Here's a few quick shots of a dirty truck with a nice bumper. Now, I need to grab a tire cover and a lock for the jack/tire)

Awesome

John,
That looks great! I cant wait to get one. I already have the 863's in now, with stock rear bumper and some HEAVY roller drawer storage/gear. With the bumper I think it will be perfect. I think I will do a white powder coat on mine to match the bullbar. The departure angle looks sooo much better than w/ stock plastic.

Very nice, I'm jealous! Keep us updated with a trail report.

Yes on the trail report. There was so much ground clearance gained that the tail pipe looked like a big target. Before, the stock bumper spared the pipe. We had to cut it. I think I've scrapped the tire cover idea. Look better if I grab another OEM wheel insert (?). Whatever those center things are called!

looks great i cant wait to get one for mine; hey by the way what rims do you have are they stock size width?

I LOVE IT!!! Better looking than my Kaymar bumper, which Christo affectionately calls my "boat anchor". Probably lighter too, which come to think of it, is less stronger when it comes to being rear-ended by a truck?

thats sweet :)

how handy is this..... I happen to have a spare set of 863's..........knew I keep those for a reason :D

Center cap.........:D

I left my bumpers black so that I can rattle them when they hit stuff......:D

I do very much like the look of the color-matched stuff and would have done it to mine but I have ended up using it harder than I thought I would..........:D

I would be interested to know where you find your large size tire cover. I have had difficulty locally. I would like to find plain black ones and screen our club logo in the center.

SOR has some big tire covers. Best Top also makes some....not sure if any bigger then 33"

AWESOME!!!! I'm jealous too.

Anybody know how much that incorporated tow hitch is rated for?

The hitch is not rated. Not that easy for a small shop to get ratings on it. However it is welded to the bumper on all sides, and butts against a plate that allows for two bolts to be intalled onto the rear crossmember using the existing holes that are there. The bumper is mounted to the vehicle using all 8 holes on the bottom of the frame. Total of 4 x 14mm and 4 x 12mm bolts. The rearmost mounts of the bumper are also bolted through the side of the bumper using 1/2" bolts on each side.

Underside shot. I'll take real pics next weekend, J

Suffice it to say that the hitch is sufficent for a classIII mount.

BUT, you didn't hear that from me...:flipoff2:

That looks awesome! I want one. Gotta convince my wife that it's more important than house renovations.
