It's nice to be "Liked"

Guys,

In case you haven't noticed, there is a set of criteria that must be met before URL's can be included in conversations on MUD (formerly PMs). One of these is having a "Likes" to "Posts" ratio greater than one. Although I have well over 1,000 posts, I only have one "like" so I had to get really creative to send someone info about how and where to pay club dues. I suggest that we start "liking" each other's posts in order to allow the free exchange of information that we enjoyed in the past. So even if you don't really like me, please hold your nose and "like" me anyways. I'll do the same for you.

Plain text "link" doesn't work. Tried it various ways, Woody has fairly sophisticated algorithms for detecting a url. Spelling out the "dot org' part in a variety of ways gets caught.

Here is what I used that worked...."Woody's new "PM" conversation mechanism won't let me include the email address or a link to the membership page because my "Likes to Posts ratio" is too low (only one person likes me I guess). Let's see if I can fool Woody but not fool you.

Dues are $25 and can be paid via PayPal using the Treasurer email address at Capital Land Cruiser Club (without spaces) website. Remember, we are a dot organization."

Using "com" or "org" in any way other than as part of a complete word seems to get caught, as does anything with the "at sign" (ASCII code 64).

Liking every post is somewhat retarded. It would be better to create a special account with a doctored ratio.

However, if Woody is smart he would have already thought of this and included a special time duration needed in order to send links in an email. I'm sure it would not be too hard for Woody to create a list of users with special powers like moderators that can send links for special reasons. In fact. I wonder if moderators can send links through email.
