:bang::bang::bang::bang:i got the carb rebuilt by one of the best. slapped it on and i still cant get it to run right. it seem like there is a flat spot when i rev at around 1500 rpm. When i drive it, it jerks back and forth like a 16 year old girl learning to drive a stick. it seems to run better under load like going up a hill. :bang::bang::bang:

You got all the vacuum lines on the in the right place? You have a smog diagram? Make sure all the ones on the side of the carb by the valve cover are in the correct spot. Got a vacuum gauge? What is your vacuum on the manifold?

Try searching "EGR bypass", or at least look at post #34 in this thread and try it. If your bucking goes away, you most likely have a problem with your EGR valve or EGR vacuum modulator.

Take some starter fluid and spray around the intake...where the carb meets the intake etc...if the idle picks up you have a leak....but also start checking vac lines pvc and the idle solenoid.
