Beo, do you by chance know how much the rack weighs?

Thanks

Vince

Vince,

I think I read somewhere that it weighs 80#. My wife could lift it but she couldn't do much with it since it is kinda bulky. The two of us easily lifted it onto the roof. She was holding it up behind the truck and I kneeled on the tailgate and set the front feet into the gutters. We then switched positions and she guided it along the gutters as I held it up and pushed forward.

Maybe too obscure of a double-entendre for a teen...but I was able to "read between the lines" ;)

Geez B...80 pounds? How do you get around with something so heavy? :D

A wheelbarrow helps. :D

It looks like you covered the answers to whatever questions FSIMIG asked. I can see that he posted something but I'll have to take him off the ignore list in order to see what he asked.

 I guess I missed some good threads awhile back. Dang

FSIMIG == ???

Semlin: Yeah I didn't know I was on his ignore list. And I wanted to know about the rack. Get off my case. I was just curious because I am thinking about getting one someday. And slee's stuff is a little pricey sometimes so I was just seeing what is out there. I think he understands that don't you? You need to relax, those days are in the past. :D

You've been better for a few days, but I don't think anybody is going to cut you slack (so don't ask for it) when you ask about the make of the rack, and it was there all along.....therefore those days aren't far enough in the past for you to start telling people to "relax" and "get off of your case".....

Only way that is going to happen is if you are more humble, maybe apologize, and pay attention.....Getting back into someone's face is NOT the way to make your embarrassment of a few days back go away. Just $.02, HAHA. :flipoff2:

the rack looks nice

i might just add, that there is a difference between something being too expensive and not being able to afford it. :flipoff2: my budget pretty much goes towards preventive maintanence and fixing problems and so I cant afford other things right now, however- I wouldnt call Slee or Hannah TOO expensive.
you get what you pay for.

"Yeah", I am just shocked at your reply . If you did not know you were on his ignore list you obviously didn't take the time to read his earlier posts (where have I heard that before  ?). I knew and I am not exactly following your life story closely.

Look here's the deal. This place functions based on mutual courtesy so sloppy rude lazy members who post constantly get on everyone's nerves. As numerous people have told you already, mutual courtesy includes thinking before you post and doing a little bit of your own homework before you ask others to do it for you. Try this, write a post, leave it for 10 minutes then read it again then read the thread you are replying to again. Ask yourself some questions. Is the answer already in the thread? Does my post add anything? Am I being polite? Does my post make any sense? Have I provided all necessary information? Am I imposing on the other person by asking them to do something I could do yourself or that would require more effort than my question is worth to answer?

We're all guilty from time to time of losing the thread. Your problem is that you pretty much have not found it yet despite a lot of people trying to point you in the right direction. Of course if you don't care carry on as you are and I'll just put you on ignore.

FSIMIG,
Being rude to long-time friends and forum members like Simon will bring you a lot of grief. I'm pretty much done with you other than when someone quotes you, then I have to see your rude and immature remarks.

Simon,
My truck is 82" tall (+/- a tad)

Thorvald,
You are 100% correct. Most of us have to save for months or years to get a "cruiser fund" for these type of quality accessories. I want a M12000 winch. I want more Slee suspension goodies. I want 4.88's and 36" tyres. Those will have to wait.

The Slee Outback rack (or Hannibal or other nice aluminum rack) is expensive but this purchase will last me a very long time and it met my criteria for functionality and quality.

I can bring it out of retirement...:flipoff2:

I like the LX underwear. As some remember, I left my thong as my "mark" for the S/C that was supposed to be mine. My "friend" C-Dan sold the S/C to MTS and sent him my thong in the package. MTS hasn't sent me back the thong even though he promised to do so.

Maybe you'll have pity on me and send me an LX pinkie. XXL, please.

You can bring it to Moab if that works for you. :D
