Isuzu 4BD1T swap part II : now w/ A440F auto

At the beginning of the thread you started with a 4BD1T engine you pulled, but I don't recall ever seeing what bell-housing you used.

Did you just use the auto bell-housing that was behind the 4BD1T?
If so, could anyone tell me what years of what auto trans bell-housing I need to do this swap?

Would an auto bell-housing from a 2T engine work?
I can't find any 1Ts close to me (I'm not buying an engine I can't hear run), but I've found several auto 4BD2Ts.

Thanks for all the really helpful info.

Bell housing are the same 1T and 2T. I think all the Isuzu BD series engine use the same mounting pattern so you could even use a 6BD engine or bell housing.

Thanks, ThreeEyedBandit,

so to make sure I understand it correctly, As long as I get a 4BDxT with an auto, I get the transmission bell housing I need?

Does anyone have a CAD file for the adapter plate?
If people are charging for that file, I have no problem paying for their effort in getting this swap figured out. Even if it's just contributing to your "ice cold drink" :beer:fund or your cruiser repair fund.

I'd like to get the plate cut on a waterjet and machined to the correct thickness, is there a better way to do it?
If no one shares / sells the CAD file, I have a lathe available but I don't think it's quite big enough.

Thanks again to Longbow and all the other 4BDx pioneers, we appreciate it.

There are a few different people who make adapter plates.

I used diesel Tim's (www.4bdconversions.com) to adapt mine to an nv4500. Nice guy too.

There are a few reviews on different kits on 4btswaps.

I'm a 4BG'er though;)

Only on the 4HE1T, and possibly after. It's not really a bolt up solution either.
