Could you afford Tire Chains for 54" tires?

who's gonna carry and install 'em . ? ( not to mention whash them after mud trip .. ! :eek: )
 
I actually have tire chains for my 1600r20S (the same as on TippyR/Behemoth). They are not as heavy as you might think. :)

Installing is easy. I've put tire chains on 18.4R38 tractor tires. All it takes is some heavy duty rubber straps. Lay the tire chain out on the ground in front of the wheel. Drive onto it so you now have about 12" of it behind the tire. Strap it well to the tire and drive forward ultill you are about 12" from the other end of the tire chain. Connect the ends together and tighten. Drive around for a bit then retighten. Repeat the retightening a few times to get em snug, might take 5 times. The top of the tire is at eye level, and the chains weigh close to 250 lbs each.
 
I have always liked those iceland rigs they look tough !!!! are those things street legal ? i am not even sure if they have streets in iceland...:meh:
