Is this an 80?

My '94 4Runner has those same wheels.

Front hub looks like full time hub. You would see a manual or auto locking hub if it was a 4Runner. So, my guess is it is an 80.

Actually, it was '91-'92 that had them. They're 15" 4/8 spoke depending on how you count 'em. They look exactly like the ones that were on the Sandy '92 that we had which is why I asked...

The '93-'94? had 16" alum with steel inserts and the '96-'97 had 16" alum with funky washered lug nuts and no inserts. I'm not sure what the '95 got.

So, are there any other clues in this pile of scrap? Yes this is an academic conversation.

It could also be a HiLux. I can't tell if that's the front or rear tire.

Never seen a 4 runner over there, but there are lots of LandCruisers of all varieties. It's the vehicle of choice for anyone with any money. Often driven by Afghani military, or political bigwigs (warlords) and by UN and NGO's.

A 4-runner front end with A.D.D. (88-95)used a hub just like that (ALL) no auto locking hubs just the diff disconnected with a sleeve and the shaft turned while the tire rotated in 4 or not. so it could be a 4 runner or an 80

The picture is quite small but it looks like there is part of the exhuast showing (the manifold) and it looks like it would belong on a V-6 (aka the 4-runner or pickup).

Bin Laden is on record saying that Toyota makes the best off-road vehicles. He travels (used to travel-I think he rides a donkey now) in a fleet of 80,s and buys his favorite Taliban terrorist buddies 80's. I think its an 80.

could be a pickup and not necessarily a TLC. Toyo pickups used the same wheels as the LC.

You could be very well be right...

BUT I doubt it is a PU. It is very hard to find a pickup with factory alloys outside of the US market. Normally they come from the factory with steelies.
