Is this a re-badged T-Max?

"EW" is the correct first part of the part number for a "T-Max" but I am not aware of them making a 9500 lbs version, they do not have one on their website either...other than that the overall build looks the same..

The only rebadged T-Max winches I know of are Summit Racing. Although I'm sure there are more out there.

Like barrypt5 said, looks similar.

chinese manufacturing companies will readily sell the same thing under different names.
Then again, they may also put in different quality of components based on buyer's specs.

A lot of the off brand winches are just rebranding another companies winch too.
I would rather pay more money to Warn for higher credit. Although, Warn has some parts produced in other countries.
If you know someting about Wongs, you will find the original parts manufacturer of Warn. Their recovery gears (ie. snatch block, shackle, synthetic winch rope.) sold in American markets, but end users pay more for credit. As the brand name is Warn, MM or Viking, but Wongs.
Yeah, There is a reason Warn and other top names cost more.

I understand what you are saying here, and mostly agree on the majority of the parts i have put on my cruiser. However, i have to disagree on the winches. Everyone keeps pushing the "buy expensive top quality warn because you don't want to be stranded"... and as i read more and more, and see on the trail, A LOT of warn winches have issues. Motors getting water in them, cases cracking, ect. Not saying other winches do not have problems, none are perfect. But in my opinion i have yet to have an issue with my t-max and have used it several times. It has been on the truck for almost 2 years. I also have not heard one issue on Mud yet from a t-max and i know several are running them.

I could have bought two t-max 12,500 lbs winches for the price of one Warn.

Food for thought.

Here is an example.

Winch, winches manufacturer and electric winch, hand winch supplier--China Ningbo Yinzhou Dongfeng Power Tool Factory.

This company has a website not for you or me, but for vendors to buy and have their name put on their products. Look at the specs for these winches and compare to T-max or whatever. Most likely, they will be the same. I am not going to render judgement about quality, but I'll stick with my 20 year old Warn M8000 and 15 year old Hi-Lift.
