Hi,
I am trying to find the o2 Sensor location if any, in my 80 Series. I checked the exhausted thoroughly and did not see any sensor connected to it. Even partsouq does not show any information on the sensor. Please suggest.
I been told to check the o2 sensor as the 80 is losing power and dying immediately when crossing small water crossings.

I can confirm there is no sensor connected as shown in these diagrams at all. I did search partsouq with the VIN and no results found for an O2 or Oxygen sensor. It might be in the engine bay?

Which model 80 Series are you driving?

If it's a (Petrol) FZJ80:

1) does it have a stock (original) exhaust system? (post up some photos if you aren't sure)
2) have you inspected the exhaust system starting at the exhaust manifolds continuing all the way down past the catalytic convertors?

Do this on a cold system, look with your eyes but also run your hand down and around the exhaust system pipes. You'll need
to get on your back under the vehicle and look up.

If you have two inline catalytic convertors there should be one O2 sensor attached before the first Cat and another after the second Cat but before the muffler.

Here's an example of what you're looking for:

You are in AUS, talking to an audience of mainly US enthusiasts. A '97 80 series Land Cruiser in the US is gonna be powered by a fuel injected 1FZ. That is what everyone here will be familiar with. If that is what you have then there are two O2 sensors, one ahead of the cat's and one behind them.

If you do not specify otherwise, that is what everyone is gonna be telling you over and over. ;)

Mark...

AU spec 1FZ-FE 97 doesn't have oxygen sensors, no. (Or EGR, or Cat converters)

93-94 with the VAF/AFM had a single oxygen sensor but 95+ with the MAF didn't.

So if someone in the US market wanted to run without O2 sensors, they conceivably could with an aussie spec ECU?
Don't see why not - I assume that all our sensors - MAF, Water temp etc etc are all the same so the US truck sensors will 'talk' to an Aussie ECU.

Only thing is I think your trucks all had A343 auto 95+, we got A442 all the way through 89 production so that could be a challenge if you're running auto transmission.
