Guys and gals,
I am thinning the herd, and decided to sell my 200. It is a 179k mile 2008 Amazon Green over Oak with Heritage Bronze powder-coated factory wheels. I bought it on BaT last year, and it's hood and roof clear coat were in very poor condition, but overall it seemed great, and I loved the color combo. When I picked it up, it was obvious the battery was in very poor condition, so I bought a new one as soon as I got home. If you see the listing, you'll realize the hood and roof clearcoat were perished. I decided to fix the clearcoat, and in a massive case of scope creep, ended up getting a completely new paint job on the whole thing.
Along the way, the AC system failed. It turned out to be the compressor, so I bought factory Denso compressor, compressor clutch, and condenser components, and had them professionally installed. The 275/70 BFGoodrich Mud-Terrain T/A KM3 that came on it definitely look cool, but were loud, rode relatively poorly, compromised on-road handling, and as it turned out didn't help with fuel consumption, so I changed the tires to ones that were more road-worthy. That turned out better than I hoped, because it rides better, it's quieter, handles better, gets slightly better fuel consumption, and has much less road noise. At that same time, I thought I'd check the spare, and it looked fine, but turned out it based on the date code it was original to the vehicle, so I also bought a fifth brand-new tire as the new spare. I still have the big ol' knobby tires that came with it, they're just set aside. I also got a set of silver factory wheels in great shape, but they're also set aside. I just love the Heritage Bronze too much to swap them. There were wheel spacers on it when I got it, but they actually didn't even run try, causing a wobble at highway speeds. Pretty sure they came from Temu. I like the look with the on, and would get another set, this time some that were good quality, if I were keeping the 200.
Sorry if TLDR. I paid $28k plus 5% on BaT last in June 2023, and have put 16k miles on it in about 14 months. I wonder what you guys think I should expect to get at sale time, considering the above. TIA for the insights!
