In
another thread I and others are working on trying to figure out an all-Bilstein solution of 2.5" lift 6112 coilovers + remote reservoir 5160s in the rear.
The challenge is Bilstein doesn't seem to have an off-the-shelf part with the right mounts, compressed/extended length, AND valving for the 5160s, but I'm hoping to hear this week from Bilstein about revalving another part and calling it good.
On a good day, all 4 corners would be about $900, and probably a smidge over $1k at normal retail prices. Factor in $577 SPC UCAs for any of these lifts (including the budget OMEs). Will also need ~$250 OME springs for the rear.
Probably another ~$400-800 for the install depending on who does it, but my entire hypothesis is these Bilsteins, at a ~$1750 all-in hardware cost, should massively outperform the budget OME solution at nearly the same price point, and that's still at 50% less than the price of going with OME's BP-51 setup, and even cheaper still than the Fox/Icon/King high-end solutions.
