Is the rust on this nice 05 too far gone? (1 Viewer)

I thought this is a super nice one until i see right side frame conditions. My 02 got some rust being from Michigan but I think she was saved just in time now that she’s in S Cal. I occasionally replaced hardwares, sway bar mounts, spare tire mount, recently replaced the fuel tank shield and skid plate, more cosmetic than functional. Little by little she’s looking pretty good, ride is rock solid. But this one is in such great condition just any thoughts she may be saved? Question is whether the frame is too far gone to be considered repairable? And whether a qualified frame shop may be able to extend the life of the frame before completely compromised? I really like the 05 and this one although high mileage appears well maintained. But rust never sleeps!
Just want to learn more on frame repair or replacement, had a C2 corvette with frame replaced but I guess not common on the LC100.

I live in Texas, so I’m going to say yes!

There’s literally a hole in that frame, it wouldn’t pass my state’s inspection and you either gotta get that repaired or junk it

That’s ridiculous. The comments saying just a smidge of rust are ridiculous too.

I commented so someone doesn’t get scammed.

This thing must have been submerged in salt water at some point. I can imagine how that on spot is so bad with the rest looking relatively ok

Welcome to the rust belt.
Almost bought an 09 Tacoma but when I got on the ground and looked at the frame it looked like a sub frame because it was rusted. Owner sprayed some tar crap to try and cover it up
Could of bought it and done the frame recall
