Are the dual swingouts an option on the IPOR rear bumpers? On their website I just see the single swingout rear bumper. Also, how does the jerry can holder perform? It looks very minimum versus other bumpers.

Each carrier is a little different - they're all designed to customer request. Some are fancy, others are not. I had wanted to do a pre-fab carrier, but as with many other things it's hard to find a "one size fits all" solution.

Our hardware kit is supposed to include several washers that are used to level the wings as well as back the frame mount at this gap. The bumpers are laser cut, CNC bent and assembled in a jig, but very minor variations at the frame mount can be 1/4" gaps at the end of the wing - thus the spacers.

HTH,

Lance

Welp I need to order those from you. I will call in the morning.

Hey that's looking good on your rig. I know what you are talking about with the angle now. I had no idea about the spacers that should have been on the rig. So what are you going to put on the front of it?

Well I want a Slee Short Bus but I've been outvoted by the :princess: and will eventually get an ARB. I am going to try and find a used one and have it powder coated the same color as the rear. :grinpimp:

Joey,
Bumper looks great! I was going to modify my oem mud flap to fit but I tend to rip it off every time I go wheeling so I am going to go with a flexible rubber flap to try to reduce this. Just food for thought.

This would work on a non-LX. I will take a pic of the flaps so you can see what I am working with and why it wont work with the LX flaps.

So, who is the dude with the cut head?

And what happened?

I've rarely seen wrenching injuries like that....

That would be SPIKE STRIP from the 60's Section. Basically he talked back and....

LOL! Actually he was under my truck getting the bolts on at while pulling on the ratchet...towards his face...it slipped. Nailing him good. I've heard stories of people knocking themselves out doing that.

Yeah, I call it my IPOR scar...

It seems to be a good, quality wrenching injury.

I busted my right thumb installing the Slee rear bumper, but then again, I'm not the smartest wrencher around.

Just so the other thread doesn't turn into a freaking battle, here are the IPOR specific issues:

• Having the Hi-Lift mounted under the tire on the bumper COULD have completely screwed me if it was the right side that was wedged
• Having to remove the spare tire JUST to take off the Hi-Lift was a major pain in the ass
• Because of the slope of bottom of the bumper I didn't feel safe using the corners of the bumper to lift
• I was going to use the recovery points to lift from but instead used the hitch
• If I had the fuel cans I would have had some damage to the tailgate
• There really should be either grooves or a short metal bar on the corners to use as a lift point just n case
• The bumper really did save the right corner from getting smashed in so I probably already got my money's worth
• Mounting a 60" hi-Lift would be TOO LONG if when the jerry can swing-out is on
• The 48" Hi-Lift base ALMOST smashed my driver's side turn signal had I not seen the impending damage and stopped the motion of the swing out
• There NEEDS to be a swing-out limiter to keep the Hi-Lift base from doing damage

my biggest beef with the IPOR bumper is not having side support tie-ins like the slee does. It will take a hit, i'm not arguing that, but it does have a lot of flex on the side wings.

Well after my last trip I am 100% convinced that it needs them. It also needs a safe place to lift from the wing side as well.

Where is the rear right corner bracket underneath the right bumper skin? Is that for sale too?

Its there, I just kept that one attached to the old bumper. And yes for sale but trying to find someone to get the whole set up. Once I split the set I will have pieces sitting for months trying to sell. :D

I busted my right thumb installing the Slee rear bumper.

Yeah- that wasn't pretty.

Didn't slow you down much though.

So, I figured it was time for an IPOR mod. I started making a drop table five years ago but didn't like the direction I was going in. Then last year I saw what Adventure Trailers did on the JK and it was sorta kinda similar but they really took it to the level. Then Front Runner brought theirs out but it went a step backwards. Well, I decided to move forward with my one-off design because I wanted/needed a drop table. Here is the direction I'm going in...
