iPhone 6 Plus dash install (1 Viewer)

I'm going to pull it out tonight and test some stuff out. I have some good usb 2.1A chargers that plug into the cigarette lighter which I can plug back in and test with. I'm really hoping it's something other than the extension cable that is epoxied into the dash piece that would mean work...

Just wanted to let y'all know that may be helpful during charging the iPad when it is dead. My seven year old figured out that when the bat is way dead and you still want to use it (play)and charge at the same time turn the brightness way down and it will actually start charging up while you are using it. That also on a 1 amp charge

My iPad does the same thing with my Dual GPS. I think it's an Apple problem.

I don't have a Nexus 7 to do the mold with. Nexus 7 won't slide very well either I think it has a tacky back. Charging could be neat for one of those I think. Don't those have the wireless charging?

I'm not against doing one, I just don't have access to one to mess with...

How is the iPad retention?

What are the chances of it falling on rough roads?

What are the chances of the vibration damaging the iPad?

is the bezel able to take the weight of the iPad (as little as it may be) on rough roads?

Thanks. I'm working on another for myself. Put in ashtray and buttons from a 95-97 into 93-94 dash and iPad mount. I want my cb to fit in the ashtray.
